Since I've been spending so much time at the local park, I figured I'd start a series just for the location. :) Bethesda Park is a very unique place. In an area probably only 1/8 mile square, the habitat includes:

small cave
small water fall
small pool/lagoon
stream
wetlands
flood plains
rugged woods
sun scorched clay (tiger beetle land)

also:

huge ropes course
disc golf trails
basketball courts
tennis courts
walking trail

Multiple species and varieties of insects, animals, plants, and flowers flourish here. It's a great place that hasn't been polluted or over ran with crowds (its a pretty unheard of park). I will be spending much of my summer here because I literally live 10 minutes from the park.

Now, for today's shots:

Thanks everybody. :) I don't know if it's just me but my favorite/best images are usually spur of the moment shots.....not the ones I spend a lot of time on (usually).

Does anybody else relate?

Great shots! Sometimes, spontaneity works & you end up getting that WoW shot when you least expect it. I think you will have a fun time in the park this Summer. :)
