Since I've been spending so much time at the local park, I figured I'd start a series just for the location.
Bethesda Park is a very unique place. In an area probably only 1/8 mile square, the habitat includes:
small cave
small water fall
small pool/lagoon
stream
wetlands
flood plains
rugged woods
sun scorched clay (tiger beetle land)
also:
huge ropes course
disc golf trails
basketball courts
tennis courts
walking trail
Multiple species and varieties of insects, animals, plants, and flowers flourish here. It's a great place that hasn't been polluted or over ran with crowds (its a pretty unheard of park). I will be spending much of my summer here because I literally live 10 minutes from the park.
