Going to Walt Disney World and need a new compact. Last time I lugged my DSLR and it just got in the way of me having fun at the park.

I like the S110, my question is; Is there another Canon camera that cost between 200-300 that is almost as good as the S110?

Thank you :-)

You can get a new S100 from Adorama for $329 right now.

The s100 is a great camera, images are fantastic for a camera that fits in your pocket! I bought mine last year for $409:o

Depending on how many pics you take a day, you get about 250 pics out of the battery. I ran out and bought an extra battery, but I end up never taking that many even on vacation per day, so I never used the spare, just charge it every night.

Sounds like you already pulled the trigger on the S100, but I'll throw another vote for it. Do yourself a favor though and grab a 2nd battery and turn off the GPS. I just used mine for a NASCAR race weekend leaving everything else back at home. Clicked off 400+ frames in 2 days for everything from panning action shots, driver pics , and HD video. Just carried it in my back pocket at the track and just stuck it in a pocket of my carry on which made things much easier at the airport.

Buydig has S110 for $327, DIG5 coupon makes it $322.

Also get the Sterling Tek batteries, as spares, from Amazon. They're rated at a higher capacity compared to the Canon OEMs and inexpensive.

Okay all, since this is my wifes "purse" camera... She picked out the camera and ended up with the Elph 330HS. I told for just few dollars more she could of had a better camera. She does not see it that way...
Oh well, I'm sure it will be fine enough for what we need it for. Thank you all for the input, opinions and suggestions.

If she (or you) have no need for RAW when using this camera, sounds like a great choice. More reach and better fps than the S series.

She will be happy because she selected it. My wife does not want the same type of camera I want, so she's happy with her choice. Happy wife = happy life.

She can't go wrong with the ELPH. I've got the older 300HS and love it when I don't want to lug around a DSLR. I'm happy with the quality of shots I get when I increase the ISO.

She wanted this Elph because she loved her older one SD630. Nice thing about this is the older battery and charger are the same as the new Elph.

I agree, a happy wife makes for a good life :-)

Agreed....for the money, the 300HS series make great little vacation cameras.

However, like all Canon P&S cameras, they do seem to clip highlights....Program, and -1 (or 2) if there's a lot of sky in the pic, seem to be about right.

Cheers, del Sol
