I upgraded from CS4 to CS6 and the ACR improvements (such as tonal adjustments, targeted adjustment tool, and noise reduction) alone were worth the $120.

Where did you find the upgrade for $120 ?

Probably through a bitTorrent! :-)

Adobe CS products are no more. Creative Suite became subscription-only, now it is CC (Creative Cloud) with monthly payments.

You can still buy PS CS6: https://www.adobe.com …ativesuite6.html?start=20 (external link)
and according to this (external link) page:

They even promise it'll work with the next major operating system updates from Apple and Microsoft.

I still see products for educational institutions only, but I also noticed that the page is redirected. It probably redirects depending on the location or something else. Your first link may be fine.

A few months ago I was thinking of upgrading from CS4 to CS6. Not an upgrade actually, just buying a student discounted version of CS6. It was about $250. I see they have upped the price by $100, probably to make their cloud more attractive. Adobe, always thinking of their customers...
