I'm expecting a couple of my recent photos to be published in a couple of UK magazines.

First is a reader submission to a national motoring magazine, the other is to be the cover of another club motoring magazine.

Is it courteous for me not to post the images here (or elswehere on the www) until the release date of said publications, or am I just being pompus ?

I appreciate pro togs may have contractual agreements forbidding them to post ahead of publication.

Lawrence

I doesnt seem like there is much audience overlap between here and your likely publications that it should be an issue of concern. The reader submission shot really shouldnt be a matter of concern as the publisher has no expectation that its an exclusive image. A greater case might be made for holding back the cover image, or at least not sharing in a forum where there is to be likely overlap in the audience.

First off...congrats!

Secondly...I'd hold off for MYSELF. That way, when the publication hits the streets and people's hands, the excitement would be even higher, since that'll be the first time most people see those photos. Once they're out, I'd then share them with the online community.
