This was taken at Jack London State Park in Sonoma, CA.

Keep in mind I have zero photography skill! I just thought it was pretty enough to share.

are those silos in the background? I like how you wanted to get that light flowing between just right. It's a visually interesting location.

Thanks for the kind words. I like the sun light beaming through the trees, the silos being covered as they are, and the reflection of the water - which was used as a water trough for the horses, if I recall correctly.

Keep in mind that most of us just wander around looking for scenes that are pretty enough to share. In time you start to wonder if you could improve the scene by getting a little lower, waiting for the sun to go down a bit, etc.
Your composition is nice, so you may just have a natural flare for photography.
