Hi,

What video formats supports alpha channels? I have some .mov files with an alpha channel that I need to be converted into something else. Can you help me? Have you eventually a link to a good converter?

Or else, letting me know an appropriate filetype would be perfectly nice :)

I would get a copy of after effects seeing as it supports alpha channels and is pretty easy to use once you learn it with tutorials from youtube, video copilot, etc... .mov files support alpha channel if it's quicktime uncompressed. AVI uncompressed supports alpha channels, and FLVs can also handle alpha channels. Not sure if there are any others, but there are tons of image sequence types that can use alphas, such as TIFs, TGAs, and PNGs.

Thanks for the answer :)

Since I posted, I have bought Adobe Master Collection, so I can now work with the .mov files :)

You're welcome, good choice! I love the Adobe Suite, such a great set of tools :)

Yeah, I've been working with it on the school computers for quite a while now, so I decided to buy it for my private computer too :)

BTW, the CC subscription for students is pretty cheap in my opinion :)
