Hi

My first attempt at a pano, while I was waiting for the ferry to Liverpool. I'm quite pleased, I think the boat fills what could have been a rather empty part of the image.
Which do you prefer? Colour or mono

thx

swift

Black and White is better - even without the cloud detail, that kind of overcast day suits Black and White more than colour, I feel - makes things look dramatic and interesting, rather than like it was a bit of a dull day to photograph them ...

It was a strange old day. I had expected overcast and so prepared for a few long exposures but it turned out to be sunny, and very cold and windy.

I agree with all your comments, the B&W is much stronger. The red Pilot boat helps the colour but not enough.

It's 12,000+ pixels wide. I can see me having a go at a few more panos.

thx for dropping by

I like the b&w, but from an artistic point of view, it would be interesting to have the entire picture b&w with just the boat in red...

Hi. I'm Mona, and this is my gear:

Canon Rebel T3i with kit lens (18-55); Canon 50mm 1.8 (Nifty Fifty, indeed!); Tamron 17-50 2.8 (non-VC); Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 II DC OS.
Canon G12

I'm just starting out, but you gotta start somewhere, right?
