a couple of close up shots of a kingfisher, can I ask which you all think is the better photo please? its for my small local reserve that wanted a photo for their new sign and I cant make my mind up :D

Both are excellent shot ,the thing will be how much text is going to be added and how large witch will dominate the poster

The first one for me as well. Both are beautiful, but you can see the whole bird on #1.

A tough one. On #1 the whole branch isn't in focus but the bird is placed better. On #2 you have everything in focus but I think the bird is a bit too close, at least for my taste.

I say #2 is the best out of these.

i would say number 2, nailed the composition in that one. well balaned. great job!

The are both absolutely stunning, I would give the proverbial right arm to take these, congratulations.

Difficult to choose, I like the extra space in #1 although #2 is closer. I think I would say #2 merely because of the slightly distracting highlight top left in #1.
