So Dj R are you holding on to your current kit?
yes, at this time.
I think I have an issue - I like the hunt, the chase, the transition.
tomorrow, is a new day, I may decide the 85 is too heavy and decide to cash in on it.
haha

I've always been tempted but the size and weight kept me away plus I really can't justify it. You can always try picking up a used 135 to add to your kit and see how you feel. Many are always for sale so you can probably get a good deal. Its such a great lens. I'm not.completely positive, but I think OP used to have a 135L which he sold when he elected to go with the 85L and 200 2.8L instead? But I Just went to thebigphotoshow at the Los Angeles Convention center yesterday and got to check out the new Tamron (150-600, 24-70, etc) and Sigma offerings (35A, 50A, 120-300) and I must say lenses these days are just soooo good. I ended up adding a Rokinon 14 cine lens even though I don't really need it but it was a great deal. Damn, I'm not a pro, just love photography!! 6D, Zenitar 16 f/2.8 Fisheye, Rokinon 14mm Cine, 35 f/2 IS, 85 f/1.2L mk2, 24-70 f/2.8L mk2, 70-200 2.8L IS mk1

You are what you eat - I dont remember eating a photographer.

I've always resisted owning both 24mm and 35mm primes. I finally gave in, and I'm pretty happy with my current set up. I may add a 50 at some point.
