Norfolk Southern recently completed a two day series of mainline excursions from Asheville, NC to Old Fort, NC before returning to home base in Chattanooga. Images are clickable links to larger versions in my gallery.

1. Crossing the river at Simmons Road.

Very nice series. Really love #2, however my only bummer comment would be the power lines that detract from great photo.
