Well, this was my first wedding and I'm pretty happy with the results. I didnt have more than 20 minutes for formals and the B&G didnt want to go to any alternate locations so I made it work as best as I knew how. C&C always welcome. (Pardon the watermarks. These are the images and sized I used for FB)

WOW! I love the frame you made with the glasses on the table.

Thanks for sharing these.

Not bad at all for a first wedding, especially with limited time and an older couple.

#8 is the best for me from the set. As said, nice work with an older couple.

I think you did a good job. I don't really have any complaints about these. I just wanted to say ' I didnt have more than 20 minutes for formals and the B&G didnt want to go to any alternate locations' .. Not abnormal, lol. I think a lot of people have this fantasy that most weddings get like two hours of portrait time and can gallivant around the area, but it's just not true. That's the exception, for sure. :)

I am super cool n' stuff.

Really nice work, especially for a first wedding! You did a good job compensating for direct sunlight. And without a wedding party, 20 minutes is actually a pretty standard amount of time for portraits. I try to talk my couples into doing a short session around sunset, and also setting aside an hour for formal shots, but I don't always get my way.

@Jake - Did you do any processing to make their faces less "sharp"? If you did, you did a great job of balancing what looks like a really nice crisp sharp photo, yet making them look nice, if that makes sense (don't wanna be offending to the older couple)

But I just shot a wedding the other day (I'm not a pro, for sure, but I like taking good shots for people) and they didn't give me any more time than about 20 mins...

but,

I wish I did have more time because I would have gotten much better shots than I did...

How does one convince someone that it's for their own good that they listen to the photographer?!!?! grrrr.

Nope, zero skin smoothing. The only alteration I did was a smidge of liquify on the groom's chin in number six. It was just an odd angle for him. Thanks again to everyone for their compliments.

Hey, what's wrong with an "older" couple! :) Anyway, fabulous shots! Loved the framing as well as on many shots you put something in the foreground, i.e. glasses, flowers, etc.
