The Bunge grain elevator in LaGrange Mo is not only at the edge of the big river but almost in it on 4/27/13. The water level has actually dropped about 4 feet recently. Most of the grain grown where I live in NE Mo is trucked the 100 miles East to be sold at this elevator or one in Quincy located on the river banks.

Nice shot. We went from near record lows and drought last year to flood conditions this year.

Nicely captured Steve. The railroad tracks really set the scene. What a disaster though. Hope it doesn't get any worse.

I like the shot, however I don't like seeing you all under water. Hopefully the growing season is a little more kind to the midwest this year. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments and good wishes. Thus far it doesn't look like any L lens in my farm income this year so keep working the side jobs. We have snow/rain in the forecast for May 2, rain for May 3rd and 4th. Sad to say I may get more practice shooting water scenes, wish it were on a beach somewhere instead.
