OK so is the plural of Maserati ... Maseratis or Maseraties ??

A engaging weekend at Paul Ricard which had so many good points I'm sure I get over the Gallic indifference of the media shuttle drivers soon. Who in their right mind goes to lunch 15 minutes before the start of the main race while the other shuttle driver keeps going back for people rather than getting us around the circuit for the start. Even the French photographers were yelling “Allons-y vite vite" at the driver.

But enough of that …. Race Cars ….

1 Or there would have been if the weather handn't been so naff on Saturday. Qualifying for Race 2 of the GT Open had to be completed on Sunday morning. Not so much fog as ground level cloud.

2. Then by Saturday evening the sun had come out and the Radicals had a dry race in the evening sunshine

3 Cannot go to Paul Ricard and not take photos of stripes and a few swirls in the background. With all the fuss going on over British F3, why does Italian F3 and Euro F3 Open have big grids ??

6. Stripes, swirls and more than one Maserati - Great series. Sounds the part without deafening you. Looks the part and close racing. Essentially "The full biscuit"

7. We were not there to cover the Maserati Trofeo series, but just got carried away (101 photos later ....!)

8. Aston Martin V12 Vantage (dribble). A 1st in the wet. 2nd in the dry beaten by a Ferrai 458 after a race long battle. Great result.

Great series of shots. Especially like #7, couldn't be better.

Thanks Jon. My first time there. A good circuit to work at. I'm sure I could have improved the angles. One of the Maserati shots my colleague got was a stunner. Lots of ideas for next time

#2 is just awesome, I really like that one...#7 is a nice one too with the water being flung off the tires...or are they tyres!
