I could understand a Combat Engineer earing something like that, but not regular troops. As for "outdoor spoorts? No way would I try using those sorts of goggles for shooting (I shoot/coach Rifle & Shotgun, and used to shoot Pistol when it was legal here) I don't see them being popular on the ski slopes either.

As to the image, yes I think it was shopped, a good job, but they just look a little off angle to me.
