Are these out yet? Any reviews? i need a small backup camera and am considering this camera.

i searched online and found NO reviews yet... just previews...

It's out in the UK (called the Canon 100D) - it is very compact indeed and I have been impressed with mine so far both in terms of image quality and features, I've only used the 40mm f/2.8 STM on it so far though...

What did you search for?
Try the name the whole world except US uses will probably be more productive.

The launch date of the SL1 (aka 100D) is supposed to be today, April 30.

Nope, searched the Canon 100D Review and only for "Previews".... usually a review is out the very same day the camera is released... B and H has them as "Pre Order" and adorama has them as "In Stock" will call the store and see if they actually have them in stock.

DP Review did a review of a pre-production unit in March.

Last week they posted picture samples from a production unit of the SL1.
