hunting for bee flies

I have been looking for bee flies all over after I read that they can be found in florida, today I manage to spot something that looked like one from afar I chased for about 20 min and this is what I got, need ID help please

on the other hand, what I thought to be a fruit fly it was not, was a Thaumatomyia rubida maybe Chlorops rufescens a new one for me :)

I'm with Linda on this, number 1 is not a bee fly.

I have had them in my garden today, the long proboscis gives them away. And the fact that they are camera shy.

Nice bee fly. It almost looks like Chrysanthrax cypris. I shot one similar but it turned out to be Poecilanthrax
