As I prepare a shot for posting, once I notice that I am spending too much time on it or having to manipulate it more than a little, I tend to ditch it. Yes, I am shooting with a 100 macro. With time, you will learn to be prepared and some of their habits become almost predictable, whereby you can try to determine their next move.
