adding another from the same afternoon......

Maybe someone can help here...my images look great in LR and even on flickr but once posted here they look softer/more out of focus. What do I need to do or change to fix that? Thanks!

The angles are kind of wonky and there appreas to be some kind of distortion (but it could just be an optical illusion from the angle) but other than these look good! Eyes appear sharp to me, and the DOF is spot on.

I like your lighting. I'm looking at the catchlights but I can't tell if it's a window or a softbox but either way it's nice and soft. Much better jawline definition in the 2nd photo, and nice shadows around his face.

Thank you. The light was natural from a window. It was sort of overcast but bright that day so I thought I'd try playing with some window light.

#2 is better. When exporting in LR be sure to experiment with export sharpening. It is something you can select for glossy or matt paper as well as screen at 3 set amounts.
If they look good to you on flickr just use the link to the 1024 pix image since those are not resized. Your links here are only 800 pix.

ChunkyDA - thank you. I'll look more closely at those settings in export. I did use an 800 limit because everytime I post one 1024 it looks HUGE to me.

Are you on a laptop or small monitor? 1024 is sort of a standard size around here.

ChunkyDa - yes, my desktop monitor is on the smaller size - 20 in. Maybe that's why they look so big to me. lol
