Australian Wood Duck on a country road near me.
Yes the ducks were crossing the road, I didn't ask why
No idea why the noise being made unless some of the family had already disappeared

Wow...this bird's got me baffled, Tom. I'm assuming this shot was taken in the western US. It looks like a green-winged teal hybrid. Maybe a cross with blue-winged teal or a cinnamon teal. I really have no idea.
