Good sharpness on the eyes, nice neutral background & bokah. Overall photo could use a tad more contrast. Composition wise photo is cropped too close at the bottom, appears to be a head without a body. Also it is generally better to have room on the side of the frame where the dog is looking, Nice dog and expression.

Best, Bruce

Did you crop? Nice looking guy, but you've got his nose bangin' against the frame. More room at his front & less room at the top would work better for me. And what's that just in front/below his eye?

Agree with above comments, and eye boogers are a beatch this time of year, lol.allergies! Full body is wonderful for a Doberman, shows their strength. And yep, white balance and contrast will bring out his coat.

full body is nice for sure.............but have you ever met a blue doberman? many breeds who carry dilution color genes suffer from a condition called..........Color Dilution Alopecia.......
ok, you guys mention contrast and white balance to improve on the photo.....how do i do that?

I have seen blues before, most folks think they are just faded, lol. Here is a quick fix..but you can adjust the contrast etc on your camera, saving alot of time editing.

o my god.

i need to know exactly how to do that. I have been trying to educate some people on the blue and fawn dobe issue and can never get a photo to really show the damage this condition does to the dogs coat and skin.

can you explain it to me in very simple terms how i can get that shot with my camera? or how to do it by editing, but i do not have photoshop, just a couple of simple programs.........

edit to add......heehee, i just noticed you removed the eye booger too. :)

Beautiful pooch, and thank you for not cropping the ears (in real life).

If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?

he is an adopted furchild, his third and last home. :)

so it was his first owners or breeder who did not get his ears cropped.

thanks for the comliments on my Chuckie boy. :)

he was a 2 1/2 year old skinny 66 pound dog when he came here. no muscling at all.

in less than a year........... he is now about 80 pounds of rock hard muscling and one heck of a happy pooch.
