Hi guys, so I've finally gotten through processing the image. This is the first time I've ever stacked star trails (in fact, the first time I've ever done a stack of any sort).

Here, you can see both the northern and southern hemispheres of the night sky as well as the Celestial Equator. It's roughly 280 exposures, for a total time of 2.5 hours. In total, I was on top of a cold, dark mountaintop for 3 hours alone, drove 2 hours there and back, hiked up and down the mountain, and spent about an hour processing...the most effort I've ever put into a single shot, but I'm very happy with the outcome...hope you like it too:

Cheers,
Tamas

Thanks very much!! :)

Wow...what was Korea like back then? After all the change Korea has gone through in the 80s/90s I think you'd have a hard time recognizing most places!

This temple is near Uiryeong in Gyeongsang (or Gyeongsangnam) province.

If you go to maps.google.com and plug this in: 35.431792,128.238988 it'll get you the temple's exact location! I just noticed that there's a sizeable lake just beyond the temple, I think I'm going to head there this weekend and see what it's like!

Ok , I see where it's located way down south which is good ! Tha keeps you away from the DMZ line . ChunCheon is located about 30 miles south of the DMZ line in the Gangwon region . It's about 60-70 miles east of Seoul . Looking on the map it looks like it's the last stop on HWY 55 at the very end . LOL never saw a IS that come to an end like that but being that close to the DMZ is good ! I spent a week on the DMZ back in 73' when N.Korea captured the ship called the Pueblo . It was scary for a while . But yes it's definitely changed .
