Hi guys, so I've finally gotten through processing the image. This is the first time I've ever stacked star trails (in fact, the first time I've ever done a stack of any sort).

Here, you can see both the northern and southern hemispheres of the night sky as well as the Celestial Equator. It's roughly 280 exposures, for a total time of 2.5 hours. In total, I was on top of a cold, dark mountaintop for 3 hours alone, drove 2 hours there and back, hiked up and down the mountain, and spent about an hour processing...the most effort I've ever put into a single shot, but I'm very happy with the outcome...hope you like it too:

Cool. :) The curvature of the star trails neatly complements the curvature of the temple roof. Well done.

Great image. There's a fantastic array of colors in those star trails.

You are much more dedicated than I. When I did my star trail shot I drove to a beach at night with a six pack. But then again, your's turned out much better!

Great shot!

Thank you! I was really hoping that it would turn out like that, but the fact that both hemispheres would be visible was a complete surprise!

Thank you! Yeah, it always amazes me that even in the visible spectrum there is so much variety in the stars' colours.

Thank you! It's funny because generally in my personal life (interestingly enough, not at work) I am a fairly impatient person...I don't like sitting still for too long haha...but when it comes to photography, I'll happily wait for a few hours to get ONE photo I'm happy with...photography really is my meditative happy place. :)

Haha, thanks...though it sounds like you might have a better time of it than I did ;)

Thanks! Sorry for the late reply, I've been on vacation. This is Ilbungsa near Uiryeong in Gyeongnam-do. Where in SK are you?
