Hi Everyone,

I'm new here.

I'm Paul and I decided to make my first picture one of my hometown...Brisbane. I've only swapped to digital three months ago and am still on that steep learning curve, but absolutely love panoramics:D

Hope you like it too.

Great first post Paul. Where was this taken from? Looks like below the Story Bridge?

Thats a very nice panoramic photo!

Consider cropping out the part to the left of the bird as most of it is low key and lacks sufficient detail to hold the eye.

Much better than the first attempt...and I liked the bird so much, I PS'd him in. (Had to go back and reshoot. On my first attempt, I forgot to keep the exposure constant, but got a nice bird in the photo.)

No...but luckily EXIF does:) Canon 20D, 17-40 f/4 L at 23mm, Manual at 4 seconds at f/5.4. Panned on a tripod with camera in portrait position. 7 shots assembled with Panorama Factory.

From a private pier just off the boardwalk near the cliffs at Kangaroo Point. A popular spot!

The original file is 30" long at 350 p.p.i. Damn this 800pixel width limit. Might see if I can post a bigger version in "imageshack" or similar.

EDIT: Here is a wider version of the image. If you want to see it even larger let me know.
