the exposure was edited a tiny bit.

Umm, it looks like it's been shot through a window and I can't really see where the focus point is.
Too many specular highlights.
Where's the spider?

I agree. It does need some sharpening, & I wish you'd have moved in on the right side of the frame. It's not as if we have to pay for film? ; )

Sticky: Sharpening Tips & Tricks, Tutorials, and FAQ

Keep in mind that there's no "rule" that everything in the image has to be sharpened the same amount? And besides keeping the noise down, you'll also get a smaller file size.

Aah spider webs...so much can be done with them in the wild like this...or steal them, using a big wire loop, to take home and play at your leisure.
A stunning trick is to apply "dew-drops" with a spray bottle>arrange some flowers behind them and shoot macro images through the droplets. ;)

I really like the composition of this Darkevs - and btw, welcome to POTN :D.

One of the standout elements is that it looks like the web is "looking" into the overall image, almost like an eye, with its defined web threads. I realize this was done with a P/S and there may not be a whole lot of original material to work with, but here are some suggestions. Try bumping the contrast up a little which would put more attention on the web, the POV. Also apply some additional sharping to it - not the entire image - but using an adjustment layer in ps apply it to that and some of the nearer grasses.

This is a really busy photo, the web is nice, but the light is strong. There are always webs, get it free and clear of grasses etc, then you can really play without getting clutter in the frame. I did a B&W conversion, but even then, the clipped highlights show through.

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

Well, I like it very much. It has a very nice composition, nice mood, soft colours and light. I adjusted the exposure a bit...bit of sharpening...I like it except for the background artifacts from the lo res version above:

Spike44 took the vision right out of my eye :D! Very, very nicely done - that is pretty much what I had in mind and I would not presume to improve upon it.
