How do we solve vignetting (dark corner) occuring in Canon 1022 f3.5-4.5?

How can we solve vignetting problem (dark corner) occuring in Canon 1022 f3.5-4.5? Any software can do? Please advise. Thank you so much.

Lightroom 4 has presets to sort out this, enable profile corrections, Just click one button and its fixed.

Canon DPP should also be able to correct for it, shoot in raw and fix it during the conversion.

Are you using a filter that is too thick? Have the hood on crooked?

Depending on your camera... and whether you shoot jpeg...

Peripheral illumination correction will do it in camera for each specific lens.

If you are shooting RAW, you can do it with the RAW handler...

I'm going to ask the obvious question, are you using the 10-22 on a full frame? If so that would be where the vignetting is coming from

Looking at Langin's profile I see that he has started threads about various EF-s lenses including the Canon 15-85, 17-55, 60mm macro, and Sigma 17-70. I strongly doubt that he has a Full Frame camera, much less a 10-22 (an EF-s lens) modifed to work with FF.

Its very easy to modify a 10-22 to work on a full frame. I did because I already had a 10-22 during my crop days. The 10-22mm is useful from 15mm to 22mm. Importing my files to Lightroom with the correct lens profiles fixes most vignetting.

Thank you so much for all responses which are very important for my study. I am just like grade 1 pupil in photography classl. I did not even known that we can use 10-22 in FF. Now I know it. Great knowledge!

I have T2i, Kit lens and 50mm 1.8. I have an idea to get a good wide angle (11-16 or 10-22) and seemingly taking the 10-22, as advised in the review of KenRockwell even the sharpness of 11-16 still echoing in my mind.

In the far future, I may buy Canon 100 f/2.8 Macro IS USM (then I will get 160mm telephoto that I can take poor lighting scene -like in church).

The reason I am asking about how to get rid of vignetting derived from 10-22 because I want to know how I can solve my own problem in the future. I also started to learn the required softwares.

I must learn as much as I can about lenses and photography tricks and tips by doing research via the internet and practice.

I still believed that I need more and more information even have learned it for 2 years now. I do not even know the abbreviations people using in this website.

About the FF, I do not think about it. I think the FF is for the professional, for me it may be 5 years from now.
