We had about an inch of snow this morning, May 3rd, then heavy rain and high winds. I threw out some feed for the birds, left home for the day and when I returned there were hundreds of birds in my yard. Many of them I seldom see and have only recently been able to identify some of them. I've never seen so many different birds together and they were all getting along fine. The pics I took are terrible, it was getting dark, raining, shot through glass at very high ISO, hand held, my hope is they return tomorrow with better light and I can set up on a tripod.
Some birds I identified for sure were, Northern Cardinal, Indigo Bunting, Red Bellied Woodpecker, Nuthatch, Red Winged BB, Rose Breasted Grosbeak, Harris"s Sparrow,Eastern Bluebird, Chipping, White Throated, Song Sparrows. Not sure but may have seen a White Crowned Sparrow as well.

I would really like to shoot all these sparrows tomorrow and get help from the forum on positive IDs. I'm not sure that all of these birds will stay here for the summer. They seemed to have been caught off guard by the weather and were gorging on food with no fighting among the different kinds of birds.
