But - the background detracts from the bridal portrait as it is so strong in the image and draws the eye away from the bride - sharply focussed with different colours, so definitely a lower dof would have helped. The bride needs some more light on her and there seems something slightly strange about the white balance (e.g. the bottom of the dress is whiter than the top sections).

Like others have said, you look like you're trying to fix something but not succeeding. I also agree that she's very close to the wall in #1. I am super cool n' stuff.

bseitz234 Senior Member More info | I agree with the colors of the face in #2. Personally, I would have underexposed the background by a stop, and fill flashed the subject, to get more pop. Then you don't have to do anything to her in post...
