Spent some time playing with a 1.4 extender on the 300mm today....I love this combo!

A CH-146 Griffon from 424 Search and Rescue Squadron out of 8 Wing, CFB Trenton - So That Others May Live.

Lots of sharp detail in that one. IMO, cropped a bit, but nice shot. What was your shutter speed? Got decent rotor blur.

No crop - it's a full frame shot that managed to just squeeze in the entire front of the airframe. I couldn't zoom out as I was using a fixed 300mm F4.0 lens. Shutter speed was 200.

Sometimes the long lenses are just a bit tight . Still a great shot though.
