I am not totally new to macro but feel as if I am. My wife picked up a Canon T4I and a nice zoom lens besides the one that came with it. A couple days ago I bought the canon
EF 100 mm F/2.8 L Macro IS USM.
My old set up was simple basically a point and shoot set to close up on a copy stand. I would shoot the pics of coins, download the memory card into the computer and open each pic in photoshop to crop and resize the image to post.
Now I feel a bit overwhelmed using the software that came with the camera. I can remotely shoot from the laptop but I would like to see the image on screen prior to shooting. Also I crop the pics with the canon software but the image winds up being saved uncropped.
I am sure the camera and dedicated lens are top of the line but it seems it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks.
Any and all advice would be appreciated. My problem seems to be using the software correctly.
Thanks...Joe
