Welcome everyone to the second Powershot-series POTN challenge!

Challenge #2 - Transportation

This week's challenge will be "Transportation". I will be looking for that photo that makes me say 'Wow!'. With emphasis on composition and exposure with the right angle. Just remember, the subject in your picture should reflect the theme Transportation.

Good luck and post away!

I'll PM Don to see if he'd mind editing some of the G-series rules and posting stickies of them in our forum for us.

Until then just read and follow these rules disregard anything about the G-series cameras as they are NOT allowed in this contest.

https://photography-on-the.net/forum/...762#post926762 (Don't worry about the winners just read the Hosting Rules if you don't already know them)

Kingston Flyer

The Kingston Flyer is a tourist steam train operating in South Island NZ near Queenstown.

Picture taken in April 2004 with Powershot S30 using Program AE and Auto ISO with in camera sharpening set to +1. JPEG setting was Normal as I was running short of card space.

No post processing other than resizing using Picture Publisher.

Hugh

Ride 'Em Ghana Cowboy!

OK, I'm throwing my camera into the ring (this time I'm playing by all the rules).

How do you transport one extra human whenever the van is full and there's only one van going to the remote village for the day? You throw him on top and tell him to hang on for dear life!

Title: Ride 'Em Ghana Cowboy!
Camera: Canon S2 IS (yes, I took this one with my Canon)
Settings: Not sure, I had to take it quiclky.
Post Processing: Cropped and sharpened slightly.

Comments: Sorry for the quality. It was taken on a dusty, bumpy road in Ghana, West Africa last December. It was also taken through a windshield. But it tells quite a story, doesn't it.
