Micro adjustment ?

I always get confused as to do - or + when the camera is front focusing. Do I dial - or + in the MA menu? Thanks.

Nvm, i found the answer. Front focus requires positive adjustment to correct, back focus requires negative adjustment.

I remember it this way: bigger values add distance between me and what I want to be in focus.

If it's front focusing, move the value towards the mountain at the end of the scale

I never understood those icons, they seem strange for Microadjustment. They make sense for focusing, but not for adjusting focus.

Might have been better to have |-><-| and |<-->| for icons, or Back and Front at the ends, etc.

Yes, the + and - can be confusing to remember. The icons work for me. If my lens is focusing in front of the subject I need to move the focus plane away from me, to the subject, towards the mountains in the background. Visually, I understand that. I don't let myself think about what that may be doing to the lens elements or any other component.
