Hi! I have some slides which I would like to digitise. Scanning each slide one by one is really tedious, and I would like to use my g3 to photograph the slides. However I cannot get the the manual focus to focus on the slides when I zoom in on it even in macro mode. Any advice?

They have a slide adapter which may be just what you need.

I had an ancient scanner that quit on me just the other day. I picked up an Epson Perfection 1660 scanner at Costco for under $120. It comes with a an adapter for scanning slides and negatives. The included adapter would allow four slides at a time. I haven't tried any slides yet, but it works great on negatives and prints. Just have to try to get rid of dust specks before scanning. Pic below is from an old negative.
