To my surprise I got my first glimps at the milkyway and decided to try and shoot it. unfortunitly I did not bring my remote shutter release so shooting past 30 sec was not an option so I had to use a higher iso and forgot to focus. so noise was a problem. But here are a few after post production. settings were 8mm fisheye, f/8, 30sec.    Im better behind the lens then in front of it.

May 10, 2013 18:11 | #4 It was also 4am and I just drove 2 hours to get their. didnt realize I didnt setup anything until I got home. I was looking into getting the canon 10-22 ef-s any thoughts on that lens for this type of shoot? Im better behind the lens then in front of it.

Nice lens, however Tokina has a 11-16 f2.8, there are members in this forum who are very satisfied with this lens
