I received my camera a week ago. What is the process for returning/sending in the trade-in camera?

Use the label they sent with the new camera and ship it.

There wasn't a label in the box... There are two labels on the invoice under the heading "use these labels to return items", but I assume those are for if you want to return the camera and bag because they are directed to the returns department.

They email you the label for your trade-in. Typically the day after you place your order.

5DMIII only gets 15% discount in the CLP.

Lower models still get a 20% discount.

Wow, I didn't know that. I guess the CLP FAQ needs to be updated then. Unless I missed it, the FAQ does not indicate that.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Crap, I used the wrong label. Hope that √Član II got to the right place.

Never received that email then. This is the only email I got referring to the return.

Just a little followup. I never received the email with the shipping label, so I called canon and they sent it to me via mail.
I checked my shutter count via gphoto2 and subtracted that from my current image number (it was zeroed when I got my camera). My camera came with 17 clicks! It was in 100% brand new condition with absolutely no signs of any use.

I got mine a bit over a week ago, sent in a broken 10+ year old p&s. Spent a bit less than 2600 delivered with CA tax and they threw in a camera bag for free, not that I need it. Shutter count was 7 (yes, SEVEN) and the camera looked like nobody ever touched it. So far everything works perfect, I'll put it through the wringer on vacation to Paris and Germany soon, within my 90 day warranty. Don't expect anything to go wrong though.
I don't need much more in gear, maybe one or two lenses, I'll be shopping this way again. Thank you Canon!

and yes, the labels that come with your gear are for returning THAT gear, the used broken cam went to a different address with 'recycling' in the name somewhere, got that via e-mail

Updated the FAQ first post to show the 5DMIII at 15%. Thanks for the suggestion!
