Now that I've finally got my sharpener plug-in working in CS2 (my grateful thanks to Pixelmagic for that). I have another query.

When I used PS7, I was able to open my CS2 images in DPP and simply "transfer to Photoshop" to continue post processing. Apparently I'm supposed to be able to do the same with CS2 yet the command in DPP is greyed out.

Is this another problem created by the non-standard CS2 installation path and if so, how do I tell DPP what to do (I assume I need to tell DPP not CS2)?

Open the windows registery by using the "regedit" program (open a shell window and type regedit).
Create the following branch : HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{6DECC242-87EF-11cf-86B4-444553540000}\ProgID
When this branch is created, you will get inside ProgID the following variable (or something like that as I have the french version of Windows) :
(by default) REG_SZ (undefined value)
Double-clic on (by default) and enter the following value : Photoshop.Application.12.1

yb98,

Thank you, I'll give it a stab. But I should warn you I'm illiterate when it comes to computers. What does entering this achieve?

Having doubts about messing with the registry. I'd like to know more about what this is achieving and exactly what I'm meant to do key stroke by key stroke before I attempt it.

DPP checks this value in the registery to know if PS is installed I think.
