who has used the 600 RT flash?

What is your opinion of the flash?
Is it more powerful and versatile than 580 EX II ?
I read youtube reviews several times but I am still skeptical.

The only functional difference between the 600EX-RT and the 580EXII is radio triggering with a much wider range of options and a longer zoom range.

The value is the radio triggering system with extended functionality.

It works, its useful, and its well worth the money.

They let me do this:

did you use Gary Fong diffuser for this shot?

did you use other types of diffuser?

No.
The image of the B&G in front of the tree, the two off camera 600EX-RTs had 9" collapsible softboxes on them but no diffusion material. The shot with the B&G looking at each other and the family shot PSed into the frame were both shoot with just the flash set to a wide zoom. And the camera was set so ambient was within about a stop to stop and a half.
