Ordered a refurb lens on 5/5. Still does not show as shipping or when schd as of 15 min ago. Anyone have experience on how long Canon takes to ship something

wow! you ordered on sunday and today is Tuesday and you feel that's post-worthy ? you're either very inexperienced in ordering on the internet, very impatient or every retail store's nightmare. pick two :-).

I ordered a refurbished flash on April 6th (Saturday), it shipped April 8th (Monday) and I received in on April 10th. It was my first time ordering from Cannon Direct.

Ditto, the last Camera store with ANY inventory in RI just closed it's doors.
I went there and it was closed, they had a billboard across the street of the closed store pointing to there other 'tiny" location, so I assumed they might have consolidated..

No such luck, the other store is open, but still tiny. Absolutely nothing I can use in there, and the smallest selection of bags.
Plenty of boxed P&S and some low end lenses, cheesy plastic tripods etc..

Do you know how impossible it is to buy a camera bag without stuffing your gear in it?

What store are you talking about? I know Hunt's isn't the greatest, but I would think they are still open at University Heights... Curious...

Wasn't complaining just asking what normal turnaround time is. Yes first order

you probably should have phrased it like that.

the original post sounded like just whining with no question posed.

Perhaps the OP should have ordered from Jimmy Johns instead. ;)

Ever tried making a trip up to hunts in Mass?

The one that closed was a Hunts,. (SBI/Hunt) not nearly as big as the one in Mass, but 3 times the size of the "Mall Ritz" sized one that remains.

I haven't been there in 15 years or so but I remember driving up to Hunts to buy my film when I lived up there. Probably a lot different these days.

Yes, University heights. The one down near Davol square was about 3 times the size with lots more stock. It was SBI Photo, which was affiliated with Hunts.

If they havent sent it yet, give them a call. They are for the most part friendly and helpful.
It may be a confirmation of your address, CC, or something. Who knows, they may have oversold and are stalling until the next batch arrives. As long as you got a confirmation order, dont worry, you will get your lens.

Took advise and called Canon on Wed. Got right through to a rep. She put me on hold for about 5 mins and came back saying should could not get updated info for me to please check back. Received email confirmation of shipment later that afternoon. Lens shipped that day (wed) FedEx next day at no additional charge. Got yesterday so all is good.
