OK, the title says I have no decent bug shots, so I went for what I could find.

I am not sure if the single shot with a narrow DoF worked better, but here is the a stack.

Nice set of pics Bas, but in #1 I find the petal going right across the middle of the flower distracting and spoils the effect you were probably aiming for.

Like #2 though - good composition.

Thanks Linda. In the single shot, it was the petal across the flower that was the point of interest (for me) and with the background having more focus it doesn't work the same.

On the first shot, look at the rear petals, where it should be dark there are ghosts of the different layers.
