Red-tailed Hawk?

Out birding this afternoon and this guy flew right overhead. Is this a different color variant of a Red-tailed Hawk I've never seen before?

I am probably the least qualified to make a hawk ID, but thought I would accept the challenge. All the RT's I know have white breasts but this one most closely matches their coloring and my book shows a dark breasted under variants. Think you're right on but sure a more learned member will chime in. Great captures of a "whatever"! lol
