I was visiting family in Florida this past week and decided to head out to the lake in my Mother's neighborhood to do some night shooting. These are some of my favorite shots of the Milky Way. The panoramic is seven shots at 14mm for 25" seconds and ISO 3200. The single exposure is 30" seconds and ISO 3200.

Thanks everyone. I use Lightroom 4 and start with the sliders from the top and move down adjusting everything on preference without "frying" the image. After adjusting the sliders and am satisfied, I move on to the adjustment brush. Google or Youtube a how to video utilizing the adjustment brush in Lightroom 4.

Thx "the jimmy" for tipping me on these 6D shots

NavyDiver911, great shots.
What did you shoot before your 6D?
I'm curious how you LOVE it's low noise/high ISO ability to capture these images.

I'm almost 4 years into my T1i and looking at 6D as FF sensor upgrade.
Of course for general shooting and astrophotography.

mtbdudex,
I started out with a SX40 HS and it didn't perform to my expectations for night shooting even with CHDK. At the beginning of this year, I bought the 6D and was considering buying the 5D Mark III but after extensive reading I found the 6D outperforms the 5D III in regards to high ISO low noise which is perfect for my type of shooting. With these shots I hardly had to adjust for noise in post and could have honestly left it without any noise adjustments. If you're considering the 6D, I highly recommend it. You can look on my FlickR page to see some of my other shots if you're interested?
