Didn't get any feedback from others in another thread about a Fotodiox 502 LED light panel .... but I've got something to share from my end now. Weekend before last, I used it in the Nor Cal coast redwoods, and two days ago with someone else, up here in Oregon.
I am not experienced with most forms of lighting. So I can mainly express what I like and don't like. So far, I like what I'm seeing from this single 502 LED light panel, and may get a second one. The redwoods experience got me not liking the panel dialed in to the warmer look. Seemed a lot of those images came out too orangy looking on the skin (maybe I just need to adjust my camera better). But I sure like it when dialed white.
In the photo where Kiera is holding the camera, the light was to my left, on a stand, about 6 feet up.
For the redwood photo, I used daylight and adjustments for Kiera, and used the light panel for the left side of the trunk, which has been very dark in the lower left side, each time I've tried photographing that location. It seems the warmer look fits my preference with bark.
The big tree photo got an astounding 99,000 views and 900 shares on Facebook ... approaching what National Geographic gets on a few of their Facebook page postings.
