A) Do you actually think this model will hinder hackers? If so, you are mistaken. I'm not saying that I agree with this, but there are already numerous threads and posts where people are outraged of having to pay monthly to 'rent' Photoshop and have outright said that they plan to pirate it. There are already a number of pseudo methods of how to hack the software - it's simply a matter of time (unless it's been done already, but I'm not out searching for it).

Yes, as a matter of fact I do believe it will hinder hackers. Why? Because now they can force updates as often as they like. They will have the ability to make the pirating venture not worth the time and effort. Yes, people will try... some people may succeed (only briefly)... but in the end this is a good move for adobe and creative professionals. Sucks for people who don't like spending money... but that's the nature of the beast.

B) Have you ever looked for training or tutorials for Gimp? I'd gladly pay a professional level cost, for a professional level software with plenty of training available (but I won't be signing up for a monthly expense for rental-ware). Additionally, there are plenty of working photographers who are using older CS versions. If their workflow is such that a newer version is of no benefit, why should they buy? I purchased my car back in 2007, and it still runs perfectly fine. Should I be forced to buy a new one? I certainly don't want to be forced to rent one and be required to make monthly payments on it the rest of my life.

Actually, yes, I've used gimp tutorials before. A lot of photoshop tutorials also translate in concept. If you're willing to pay professional prices for professional software, seems like your options are limited.

The actual cost difference is not that great, and when you consider all the benefits of the new model to actual professionals... seems like a no brainer to me.

To each their own....

Hacking it is only limiting for every release. Again, there are professionals that are still using CS2, CS4, etc. There are many photographers who don't need the latest tool as soon as it's released by Adobe. E.g. hackers will find a way to crack the software in a manner that a release update from July of 2013 works forever without a need for an update.

Certainly, the tutorials may translate in concept... there are only so many ways to change pixels, but who wants to go hunting for the tools to execute said concept for hours? Which is why I prefer to use Ps, which has many more tutorials and instructional information directly related to the software... and there is no need to hunt for tools or methods to recreate a concept when it's much more step-by-step.
