If I do a gallery wrap with #1, it will wrap around the edges anyway and in effect, cropping it a bit. I like the look with the sky to be honest - as Bob stated, without it, it looks like a cave. I'm checking in with my local photographer friends on memphisphotoforums.com and they all seem to like #2 better. Kind of a toss up across the board. LOL! Not 100% satisfied with the editing yet either.....

Someone recommended waiting a bit before printing to let the newness wear off and get a second perspective on it. I think that is a great idea. In the past I've printed up some shots too soon and after a few weeks found I was not nearly as fond of it as I originally thought. Keep the thoughts coming if you have anything to add!

Thanks again!
James

#1 for sure. I also agree with other comments about the sky over the arch....it would look better without...

I like #1 better just because I think the warm color of the rocks at the bottom compliment the color of the underside of the arch. I like the sky above #1 as well, the color of the blue is nice and I like that it has clouds, and it emphasizes the "arch" feeling.
They are both very nice photos though.

I like #1 best also, the valley below, centered, and the color of the rock under the arch, the sky above doesn't bother me, and as others have said, makes the arch

I prefer #2 compositionally. For me, there's nothing really leading my eye into the photo on #1. It just kind of goes to the center/sun and stays there.
