Heii guys, im new here but i think u will help me anyway ^^

Im looking for a flashlite for my canon 6d, since it does not have a built in one, and since if it would have one itd be pretty crappy...

I usually have a few fast lenses, so a flash would not mean i need faster exposures but i realized there are so many ways to illuminate an object for perfect inscenery, so i just want to be able to sugar up the lightning for my photos.

So would the 430 be a good deal with the current cashback action or should i then rely on the 600 flashlite since it also has cashback.

Thanks in advance :)

The 430exII is an excellent value and performs well for most people.

No, the 430exII does not master. It can be mastered in the canon wireless (optical) system. No it doesnt work as a remote shutter.

Okey, but what does master actually means?

it's not the best use of words, but the master flash controls the slave flash.

long ago it was done optically, with optical slaves that would fire remote flashes when the main flash fired.

now it is often done through radio waves and other such technology. some are basic and just fire the flash in manual mode, some fire the flash with ettl for proper automatic exposure.

I started with a 430EXII, but, if within your budget, buy a 580EXII. It is more powerful, is weather sealed, and can act as a "master" flash. If you look in the "Sell" forum here on POTN, you may find one in the $320-$350 range. If you want to use multiple flash units you have several options:

Canon's Wireless Speedlite "master/slave" system, or
Connect them to the camera with flash sync cords, or
Synchronize them with wireless infrared triggers, or
Synchronize them with wireless radio triggers.

There are many factors that will go into you deciding on the right direction for you, each option has pros and cons. At this point, I think most folks use wireless radio triggers such as the Yongnuo YN-622C with 430EXIIs or 580EXIIs. There's a ton of information on POTN that explains how to all of this stuff. You can also find a lot of information on the Canon site at: http://www.learn.usa.canon.com …ite_tip_pt3_article.shtml (external link) and of course on YouTube. And you can always pose a question and someone will try to help you.

Good luck and welcome to POTN.
