Lovely colors; but it looks kind of grainy. Maybe loosen up on the crop so we can see the whole bird.

Now there's a handsome cock - oops did I say that? Too bad about the weeds though. If you can get one of him clear of any distractions it would be a wall-hanger for sure. How's his disposition?

he was a pet in his first home.....hard to keep him out of my cabin. :) very friendly.

just need to keep.dogs, goats, ducks, other chickens, weeds, etc. out of my view of him. :)

and i would like to get a little more 'crispness' to my photos of him too.

You might try sharpening your photo for crispness. But for the best result you might use a tripod and low ISO and high aperture (f8 - f11) if he will be somewhat still. Looks like a very cool bird.
