I did a search and I'm not getting anything. If anyone is using it, will the transmitter for the L-358 trigger it? They're working on 2.4GHz. Here's a link (external link) to the kit I have. I'm using them with a YN-560 II and a 430EX II.

I see no reason to believe that the rt-32 module would trigger these via the l-358.

After viewing a few videos and reading a lot of articles, I'm starting to think it will work out. I went ahead and ordered it. :)

Mind sharing those articles and videos?

Nothing really just said it, but I deduced that it would because 2.4GHz is 2.4GHz. I don't think they're coded, so an open channel should get triggered. Here's one link (external link) that talked about the various triggers. I also just read through Sekonics (external link) site about it.

Again, nothing concrete, but it's worth a shot.

Lots of triggers are on the 2.4 GHz band. Doesn't mean they're compatible.

Good luck, but don't get your hopes up.

I'd recommend getting a 2nd transmitter and connect it to the l-358 via cable. Meter using the second transmitter to fire the strobes.

I was using that method last night. I connected it to the L-358 via pc cable. I'm actually about to start playing with it again and try to learn how to use these strobes.

Or not...this kit hasn't been that reliable. Returning it on Monday.

What kit? The Pocket Wonder?

If you're looking for good reliable budget triggers, it's hard to beat the RF-603 from Amazon.

Yes, the PocketWonder. I'm looking at the Phottix Odin right now. Reading the flashhavoc site and some threads on here. Not sure if I want HSS and TTL control or not. I almost got the RF-603, but for whatever reason, decided against it (dumb me). I'm still going to research the CyberSyncs and PW X too. Trying to learn what each one offers.

If you want ETTL and remote power adjustment, look at YN-622c.

phottix atlas (older version - 433mhz i guess) is compatible with the sekonic module. It also works with pocket wizards.

Likelihood the module with fire the Fotodiox triggers is about Zero.
PW uses a completely different frequency. Also their own communications protocols.

The Fotodiox triggers are using the unlicensed 2.4Ghz freq, which as pointed out does nothing more than specify the radio spectrum. There still has to be a communications protocol. Each manufacturer uses their own. For example YN-602, YN-603 and YN-622, all made by Yongnou, all use the 2.4Ghz freq, and they do not talk to one another.

Thanks everyone. I may just grab 2 sets of the YN-622's. I think 3 flashes should be plenty to get me going. I'm new to OFC, so trying to research what I can before I get to asking an abundance of questions.

With my 3 speedlites and 4 622s, I use the "extra" 622 to trigger the flashes while measuring flash light output with the L-358. It works!
