RWBB with a new camera

I just got a new Fujifilm FinePix HS50 EXR and took it out to try it. This is one of my first photos. It was taken on a very dark and overcast morning using the RAW setting on the camera. I converted the RAW using Photoshop Elements. This was shot at ISO200, 1/320 sec, f5.6. The shot was handheld at 185mm (1000mm in 35mm equiv.)

Your image appearS washed out on my monitor. I used the black curves function (CS5) to add some POP.

Thanks, Ted. I usually only do some exposure and sharpening adjustments to my photos. Unfortunately for me, I am red/green colorblind and see colors quite differently than most. Making any color adjustments usually makes my photos look a bit weird.

Are you satisfied with this camera? I'm trying to decide between this and the sx50.. Thank you..

Sorry for the delay, I was out of town.

I love the camera. It is not great in low light, but I have been getting good shots with it. Feel free to look at my Flickr site. I usually tag any shots with "Fuji" and "HS50".

Thanks for being hand held at 1000mm (35mm equiv.) I was very happy with it. This camera gives much less detail than a good SLR, but I love it. I told many people that I sold my Canon Rebel and a handful of lenses because I wanted to be a "snapshooter" and not a photographer. 24mm to 1000mm with no lens change is what I was looking for.

The edit does look much better. Nice shot.
