This may be be a good backup card for 5DM3.
It's Sd slot is not super speed so I think the Ultra should be adequate.

For bursts one must use CF. You can conserve CF by using the SD card for those random in-between non-action static shots. And it may serve as a backup if you run out of CF (with none in your pocket)

It cripples it lol Like "rhdman" said you just set it to use the CF until it's full then spill over to the SD and that issue goes away. As a matter of fact I've never really come close to filling a 32gb card in one shoot (~900+ RAW's). I have two 32GB CF's so I'd just swap out the CF if I ever did fill one. For me the SD is just there as a fail-safe in case the CF (cards or system) craps out in the middle of a shoot.
