What gear would you grab if you were just starting out, wanted it just to get it, ect. I'm asking in reference to camera related gear. I'll be going to both (moving to Japan) and wanna know what things I should consider grabbing while I'm there. Strobes, lenses, triggers, brackets, everything. I've been a few times, but never with intentions to buy gear, so I'd like to plan accordingly. 
Also, if anyone is into chef knives, y'all familiar with any smiths in Tokyo or surrounding areas? I know Matsamoto, Sugimoto, and Kikuichi are there. Any others?
