Were you shooting from the crowd? #1 seems really noisy, otherwise I like the exposure and timing. :)

I agree but my first thought was that he added the grain to give the boxer toughness? cant imagine being tough on a smooth canvas :eek:

I was shooting from the back of the crowd on a platform. Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 wide open and high ISO, #1 was under exposed so when I processed the raw you could really see the noise, I didn't want to go nuts on the noise reduction and like you's have mentioned it leaves it a bit gritty, I ended up doing a conversion to B&W and it works better, will probably post that later.
